Risk everything or sit forever with ones dreams

“There comes a time when one must risk everything or sit forever with ones dreams.”

“Have patience.  All things are difficult before they become easy.”
“Figure out what your purpose is in life, what you really and truly want to do with your time and your life; then be willing to sacrifice everything and then some to achieve it.  If you are not willing to make the sacrifice, then keep searching.” - Quintina Ragnacci
Spend extravagantly on the things you love,
and cut costs mercilessly on the things you don’t.

I want to be a part of it - New York, New York

Start spreading the news,
I'm leaving today.
I want to be a part of it -
New York, New York.
These vagabond shoes
Are longing to stray
And step around the heart of it
New York, New York.
I want to wake up in a city,
That doesn't sleep,
To find I'm king of the hill -
Top of the heap.
 My little town blues
Are melting away
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it
In old New York.
If I can make it there,
I'd make it anywhere
It's up to you,
New York, New York.

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect

"Your deepest roots are in nature.  No matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of life you lead, you remain irrevocably linked with the rest of creation."
“In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful.”
"There is something of the marvelous in all things of nature."

If it does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all

“If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all.” - Anna Quindlen
“I have a notion that if you are going to be spiritually curious, you better not get cluttered up with too many material things.” - Mary Oliver
“The most rewarding things you do in life are often the ones that look like they cannot be done.” - Arnold Palmer

I Was Here

 You will notice me
I'll be leaving my mark like initials carved in an old oak tree
You wait and see
Maybe I'll write like Twain wrote
Maybe I'll paint like Van Gogh
Cure the common cold
I don't know but I'm ready start cause I know in my heart

I wanna do something that matters
Say something different
Something that sets the whole world on its ear
I wanna do something better
With the time I've been given
And I wanna try
To touch a few hearts in this life
Leave nothing less
Than something that says "I was here"

I will prove you wrong
If you think I'm all talk, you're in for a shock
Cause this dream's too strong

Maybe I'll compose symphonies,
Maybe I'll fight for world peace
Cause I know it's my destiny
To leave more than a trace of myself in this place
I wanna do something that matters
Say something different
Something that sets the whole world on its ear
I wanna do something better
With the time I've been given
And I wanna try
To touch a few hearts in this life
Leave nothing less
Than something that says "I was here"

And I know that I will do more than just pass through this life
I'll leave nothing less than something that says "I was here"
